Thanks Nick,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
£1300 seems v.excessive and looking at the other threads is one of the highest around.... and I thought it would be cheaper up here in Hull compared to some dealers down south! As soon as I told them I would be getting quotes from other dealers he said they DO have room to lower the price to match other prices. I didn't want to be rude at the time as I've still booked my MOT with them - but if there is room to lower the price, why not offer the best price in the first place?!
Might look at an indy but not sure of any reputable ones in the area.

My Indy doesn't do cam belts anymore due to the possible problems with castings breaking later on and litigation etc., etc.
I've booked mine into Peter Vardy in Aberdeen. Let's see how it goes..... Stew,

I paid about £1,150 last February at my local main dealer, including an MOT and no additional work outside of the service and belt.Andy

Contacted them today and over 300£ cheaper than local dealer and still genuine land rover parts.
Hatfields seem to think they have a licence to print money... must be too many wags taking their range rovers in without questioning their prices!

Just had the 7 year service carried out by Team Valley Land Rover at £769.00 inc. vat. They only use genuine parts and are land rover warranty approved. Courtesy car also.
