Used "Tracker" for many years and never had any problems.

We have a business relationship with Tracker and their recovery rate is excellent! Their 'mesh' system is awesome and uses every car fitted with a tracker to rebroadcast signals from a stolen vehicle....
A tracker is also only as good as the fitter who installs it! Use a reputable company....
Also consider a secondary device if you really really want to protect your vehicle! The little CANTRACK device is perfect for this!

Trackstar is the only Jaguar, Land Rover, Range Rover and BMW approved Stolen Vehicle Tracking & Recovery product, and is approved for installation throughout the UK automotive industry.

All thank you for your responses.

Trackstar is the system fitted by JLR at dealerships. They didn't appear to fit Cat 5 system when I enquired. I spoke to a tracker company that fits a range of trackers and they said they wouldn't recommend the trackstar as too many issues with the units.
Think I might try the Tracker Cat 5 Plus seems to give the best coverage.Vehicles

Never any issues with mine, I had it on 3 Disco's. I chose it due to the recommendations of others and as LR appeared to support it, which was important for me on a new vehicle.
Sorry, I didn't see the Cat 5 bit. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I seem to recall that "Tracker" use their own fitters for the high end security products and purchase has to be direct from "Tracker"

I know another person who hasn't had any issues with the trackstar.
I bet they all do the same thing. I have seen a Cat 6 system with ADR and text immobilisation. Does not have the VHF function. But the subscription is cheaper. But if it was about cost we wouldn't own a LR Vehicles

The primary reason for me, was that it was fitted at the main dealer, on to a new vehicle and LR would deal with any aggro. it might have caused. If I'd used another make, LR wouldn't want to know!
As the wiring on a D4 is akin to witchcraft to me and having once had a load of grief with an aftermarket alarm system back in the 90's, I wanted peace of mind.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
