Mirror housing is the same as the D4 MY15 on wards so my original mirrors should fit with no issues MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

I've gone for a fixed two bar on my D5 (if it ever turns up) as I didn't want to risk having no decent recovery attachment.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Think iv sussed it all out now
Basically you get the whole back armature , included with your choice of tow bar ( deployable / multi height / detachable )
Towbars are made by Brink Towing Systems
As left the factory
Multi hight kit
Fitted in place
Someone got the wording wrong on that pic (that's not the deployable one )G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

That certainly seems to be one hefty towbar ! Do you by any chance have a drawing of the electrically deployable one ?

£400 cheaper if you buy and fit yourself ...but by the looks of it ..it will need the electrics enablingG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

62kg that's more than I weigh. If I do decide to get a D5, the electrically deployable towbar would be a factory fit option. Interestingly, the removable towbar has a max nose weight of 195kg, whereas the fixed and electrically deployable ones are max 350kg.

Been towing with D3s and D4s for 10 years, mostly ok with Detachable tow bars except for two both of which became sloppy. Got into a "discussion" with the dealer about regular towing vs heavy infrequent towing and never got a straight answer so went with the multi height fixed on the latest which is fine so far but started rusting and looked like within 4 months and I had to paint it MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
