I'm interested in whether the air awnings are any easier to dry as attaching an awning to my caravan always prompts at least 14 days of continuous rain.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. Fair bit of bad press on the net for both Kampa and Vango longevity , watertightness and exploding sections
May be wise to stick with the poled awning

Three year warranty on the Vango Kalari, which is the same layout as the Kampa Ace Air but only comes with 12 months.MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand

We also went with vango air when we change our van 18 months ago. Very pleased no problems until away in really heavy rain and had small leak around skirt, not that bad add at ground level, mentioned it to dealer and was told no problem will send it back! Didn't get around to sending it back until November. 2 weeks later new one arrived And they had sent New model

I am not at home to check the make of ours but no regrets re airframe. We have used it in very strong winds and find it flexes and bends to absorb the force much better than a rigid frame. The only downside is that on ours the legs lengths don't adjust. That means we try to pitch with the ground level or falling away from the caravan door. Fail to do that and we end up with a gap between the awning and caravan.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Only been caravaning for 5 years, but have had full frame awning, porch awning and 390 pole awning.
2 years ago purchased a Kampa Fiesta Pro with 2 additional annexes (although these are poled) and was the best decision we made - all other awnings have been sold.
The OH can put it all up herself easily enough and gives us plenty of room. Does suffer a bit from condensation but no more than the others!

Outwell pacific coast caravan air awning bought 2 years ago. Absolutely top quality compared to Vango and the likes
Fully zipped in ground and fits snug to van, so no draughts
No manual pump used as it takes too long despite claims of 30 seconds by most manufacturers
I use a vango pressurized electric pump, so inflated in 30 seconds and more importantly deflates in 30 seconds so you can wrap it tight and neat
I think its a 350cm so plenty big enough to store and eat and let the dogs sleep in

I have a cheap air awning. it goes up much quicker than the traditional porch awning I had. if anything it feeds through the channel easier.
as I have to set it up on my own with no assistance I can do it within 15 mins. only issue I had with it was one of the air poles the cap got a tiny amount of dirt in it and wouldn't seal properly. took me two days to figure it out. letting it down is easy undo the caps and all air comes out so packing it up is simply.

Just bought a Kampa Rally Air Pro 390, hope to give it a try next weekend.
Should be quicker to put up and result in less arguments than we used to have with our poled porch!

Bit of an update from my original post
We did much searching and looked at many but finally settled on the Kampa air Pro plus .The little extension on the side gave it a more practical attraction over the Vango kalari we had first chosen
Bedroom or wetroom or simply a nice little area to sit under as a porch
I will update as we use it in May

I'm very tempted by the kalari 520.
We currently have a big Bradcot divorce-in-a-bag, which I generally put up myself, no mean feat when you combine a 6.3m van an Anglesey.
It got damaged last year, the wind on the headland was quite intense. I suspect the best option is to go somewhere else really...
Anyway, my concern about the air awning, having bought and sold a 'lightweight' awning within a week, is the seal around the van in heavy winds. The lightweight flapped all over the place so I went back to the bradcot which uses the entire awning rail.
