New Disco 3 Owner - Steering and IID advice required please.

Hi All

Just got a Disco 3, 4.4 V8 and after a short time it has developed a problem with the steering sensor. All the warning lights come on at full left lock and the warning lights all come up. The dash display shows the wheels are off to the left when infact the steering wheel and road wheels are straight.

I am going to invest in a IID tool or similar but whilst I am at it can anyone recommend one which has a map for greater fuel economy? Don't really want to go down the LPG route, but would like slightly better fuel economy if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the V8 club Very Happy Didn't know Chablis was offered back in 2005

Do a search for steering sensor, there are lots of threads on it.

I wouldn't recommend LPG, although I'm sure others will disagree!

Appreciate your reply.

I used the forums to problem solve the issue, clearly need a fault code reader/ecu reader to re calibrate the steering sensor. After opinions on the best ones for the money.

Any ideas on best price?

I assume it can reset the steering sensor as well as read most fault codes not just engine and exhaust stuff???
