total elctric failure then restart total recovery ???

driving along on more than one occasion in outside lane of m5 whole load of lights come on the engine went into safe mode the suspension lowered itself ( quick dash unpowered across 3 lanes to hards shoulder) pulled over and then went thru removing key central locking car ....then unlock key in ignition and start absolutely fine drove off up to motorway speed ..... no problem has anyone got any ideas ?

You need to take notice of which lights illuminate and what faults the car is reporting when it happens again and report back.
The more info you give, the quicker and easier it is to diagnose. Wink Mods:
