Start Stop fault - Secondary battery failure ?

Hi all,

I have a 2014 Disco TDV6. During the past months I got irregularly messages on my dashboard "start/stop malfunction" but I got this solved by restarting the car.

Yesterday however at a red light the engine stopped and when I released the brake pedal it won't fire up and I had to switch ignition off and on again.

My IIDTool gave me some relevant info:

GWM-Gateway module
B13C5-92 (2F) Secondary battery - Component failure - performance or incorrect operation
( on 14-02-2017 18:44:24 at 85618 km )

IPC-Instrument Pack
U2013-08 (28) Switchpack - General failure information - bus signal/message failure

Have booked a service appointment at my local dealership. Will it be a simple battery replacement fix ?

yes, dealership replaced the start/stop battery in warranty

My stop start has never worked Smile and both batteries are fully charged Surprised and I don't get any warning lights Very Happy It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

My stop/start gradually got less and less frequent, until it didn't work at all, no error messages. Was just in for service and they replaced the stop/start battery and all good again Joined the BMWX5 45e group
