My first point of call would be to check all of the connectors under the drivers and passengers seat to make sure nothing has Come undone.
If you do a search on here for clock spring it'll tell you a whole host of faults an fixes. My fix when the airbag light came on was to change the clock spring. Not a hard job just fiddly.

I removed my audio amp under the seat which kicked off a Airbag alarm, just pushed the large connector at the front of the drivers seat and it cleared.Series 1 V8
Series 2 Hibrid V8
Discovery 3 HSE V8
