Poorly 2008 D3 2.7 Td6v
So after pulling off the road with a knocking noise, towed to first garage, a week later still not sure what it is but has new cambelt kit fitted and suggested needs new engine!! Thanks for your business that will be £670!! Retrieved her on a low loader to garage number 2 good guy, 10mins later sounds like big end bearings, need a new engine!
Just waiting on delivery of a big end fail engine now (doner). As long as block is good planning to rebuild this one and swap out. So heres the question, as this is my first engine rebuild, any tips or observations to look out for? Any sources of good sensibly priced parts??
Took delivery of the engine stand today, engine here tomorrow
Cheers

I'm assuming body off, then take time to check brake pipes etc - there is a post on here recently regarding body off jobs....let me try and look

is it also an idea to replace the turbo bolts
unless ive read it wrong
something to do with studs , so that with the body back on it's easier to remove if it ever needs removing
