HELP needed please d3 oil leak |
|
Hi all I need help please I have a 2007 d3 hse 2.7auto
Recently it has starting leaking oil quite bad . We have removed all bottom covers and plastic inner arches .. It looks to be coming from top rear of the engine over the gearbox bell housing . I'm told the only oil pipe that goes over this area is the turbo oil feed ..
Has any one changed this without removing the body . Or can any one give me a reputable garage to take it to to get it sorted I'm in Birmingham ..
Thanks any help is appreciated
It's devastating as I love this disco

Get it fully checked to make sure where problem is. Have you checked and double checked the oil filter housing?

If it's a manual gearbox check that the breather on top of the gearbox has not come off. It's on the drivers side just before the bell housing. There is a short length of hose which connects to a pipe that runs up the back of the engine. If this is the problem and it's an easy fix about £12 for 2 meters of 8mm i/d fuel hose and allow £20 for the swear box
