The continued saga of Derek

Ok folks,
I have a very intermittent problem. Bad starting in coldish weather and stalls when he refused to start/rough idle or around 5/10sec
The only code I have on the car is a p0101 but this can be cleared and won't show again for a few weeks.
I have changed the fuel filter and when hooked upto the machine I am showing good fuel pressure..Good manafold pressure and egr valves doing their thing.
I have put a new battery on him as the other was 10yrs old and the alternator is showing a 50% demand and running at 14.7v
All the injectors seem to be within normal values
I can't see any air leaks from the MAF to the engine and I can't see any split in the intercooler hose.
So chaps..Can a sticky actuator on the turbo give these symptoms or could it be a failing MAF or throttle body.
The only other thing that peeked my interest was a throttle position sensor reading, if A was at 10% the throttle sensor B showed 15% but I don't know where both sensors are.
Any clues?

Derek is my old faithful mud plugger.
I have had him from new and he help me around the fields. When my tractor gets stuck it's Derek that pulls it free.
But these last few months he has been showing his age, I have a feeling I might have lost a glow plug or two but it's been too damn cold to strip off the engine cover. This cold start thing has me stumped as when it dropped to -7 he fired up first turn but at 3 Deg he has a little hissy fit. Hence the scratch head and loss of hair.
