HELP please?? Keeps losing power...!

I have an intermittent fault that is getting worse. I keep losing power, and the only way I can describe it, is it feels like the throttle is not working, if that makes sense. I go to accelerate, and nothing, it just crawls along, and then very slowly starts to pick up, and then bang, back on the power. Tried the stop, turn off and reset, and this worked the first few times, but now doesn't. Censored

Any ideas please? Thumbs Up

Doesn't sound daft mate, but yes it is, cleaned it a couple of months ago, it was filthy, and checked it today.

Probably turbo side egr stuck open. You'll be able to see live values.

Map sensor may just be because of egr open.

I am very rapidly losing the love for this car....! Censored

Cleared the codes, took the connector off the MAF sensor, and squirted with contact cleaner. Put back together, and took for a quick spin.

Seems to be driving ok, for now, BUT, bloody suspension fault has come up on dash now....! Big Cry

Don't panic about suspension fault. Often happens with 08/09 cars that have egrs blanked without the software update or have faulty egrs.
Get that bit fixed first. You may get transmission error too...

I had the same issue last month and fault codes mentioned both EGRs not being so happy. Turned out both EGRs needed replacing.. $$$

Mine is 2005 so I decided to get a EGR blanking kit and do it myself. 05 / 06 models don't require ECU remapping and the job took about 3-4 hours (I took it nice and slow and it was my first time doing any engine work on the D3). The engine is much happier now.

I can't comment on your Suspension issue much since there are so many possibilities although I have the same issue with Suspension, HDC and Park brake failures (xmas lights) and I've been checking wirings and elec connectors all around the car to see if I can find a corroded connector or a cable. Last week I found that behind the rear left wheel there are 3 connectors and found one cable which had some previous work done. I cleaned that up and taped it. So far so good..

All sorted....! Thumbs Up

I blanked the EGR's myself, which took a couple of hours, nice and carefully. I already have the IID BT tool, and with the help of Pete at BAS, flashed the ECU with the software patch to blank the EGR's. Thumbs Up

SO far, so good, and surprise surprise, no suspension faults have flashed up yet..! Whistle

Thanks for all advice given guy's. Bow down
