What are the odds?

So after many months of my suspension light coming on with the annoying bong noise and been told my compressor was overheating causing this I have finally found the fault. The air tank which runs along the chassis has rusted and in turn had a leak causing the compressor to keep running to try and fill the tank.

I've ordered a new which comes this week but what are the chances of the compressor being ok after all of this or will I need a new one of those too?

The compressor still works for a couple of minutes before it overheats and cuts out so in theory once the tank is fixed it wont be running all the time and overheating so I shouldn't get the suspension warning?

Anybody experienced this?

The compressor should shut off long before it overheats, if there is a leak...

So I'm probably going to need a new compressor as well then...

I would try with the new tank and see how it progresses.

Even if the compressor fails, with no leaks you should monster to get home.

Well for once I have a result on the Land Rover front. The new tank has indeed fixed the suspension fault. The compressor has been overheating because the tank has been leaking all this time.
