Door mirror control unit in the dark |

The control unit on the door is not illuminated . Trouble is I can't remember if it was
Should it be ?
Had the lock changed under warranty not long ago

Don't think it ever did light up. Checked mine last night (HSE) and it has no lights 2005 Discovery 3 HSE
(RLD Wheel Protector, Altox FBH Remote, IID Tool) Viscous Fan spanner’s Available to lend

I've never seen them light up.
Shouldn't be adjusting the mirrors in the dark

What do you mean 'I think it should'?
If you mean LR should have bothered-I agree
If you mean you still think yours has a problem, I just checked the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual and it definitely doesn't (If you compare to the window switches which clearly show a bulb) 2005 Discovery 3 HSE

well if it's dark you can't see a good field of view to get a accurate adjustment.
Adjust is daylight and then save to memory
