Hi, I have been suffering from a whine from the rear of my D3, I booked it into my local garage and they diagnosed failed rear diff. New LR rear diff fitted thank you Warranty Direct.
Took the D3 to Ice Gest and realised the noise was worse, dropped D3 back at garage, yep your new rear diff is shagged i said they work better with oil in I hear. Garage owner said that it had crossed his mind but they had checked and all ok apart from the noise.
D3 ended up at LR Dealer for 2nd rear diff under LR warranty.
So got it back and it's still making a noise but more of a rumbling, I know that Hubs were checked earlier.
I am running GG AT2 255 60 R18 all round 1/2 worn
Hoping someone fairly local will let me fit a spare set of wheel and tyres just to check if the noise I have is the tyres.
I don't want to be in and out if the garage chucking bits at it even though it's under warranty.
