Roof bar help please

Hi
I have read all posts on roof bars but still need help ( possibly because I am thick!!!) I have attached photos of what is on my roof. What do I need to put roof bars on to carry bikes kayaks etc. Do I need to take out the strip on the roof? If so, how? What bits do I need to make it work? Is Halfords a good place to go? Any advice gratefully received as I am thoroughly baffled. Crying or Very sad

if you search 'roof rails' you will see what you need to then fit the bars. I don't think bars can be fitted without them , although I stand to be corrected.
There are short ( fitted as std on some models) or long version

You need roof rails, front to rear first, then you can add cross bars, I have a set of rails spare due to a change in a project if you're interested, drop me a PM Thumbs Up

Once you have the Rails fitted, I used roofbox.co.uk, (though check out the for sale on here and also the 'bay) for my bars and bike carriers, Ive got three Thule carriers Thumbs Up

I put the T-tracks in mine last year and followed a simple You Tube video from the manufacturers of the new tracks. It was a doddle!

Also, get Thule Whisper Bars. Way more expensive, but as the name suggests, very quiet compared to square bars.

Thanks everybody for your help. I bought some roof rails off beanie and fitted them at the weekend following a vid I found on YouTube. Now just trying to decide what cross bars to buy to carry 3 kayaks.
I've no idea why I have bought kayaks as I live miles from the sea. As a friend of mine says "if it flies, floats or f Censoreds , rent it!
I am leaning towards Rhino bars and stops and an upright from Alteration.
The expense just rolls on and on Big Cry
