Nigel,
Did you get the heated steering wheel on yours in the end?

After one day:-
I should preface my remarks with the fact that 40% of my motoring, in terms of time, not distance, is on narrow rural roads & lanes; many with multiple potholes.
I like the 8 speed gearbox, but notice delay on launch, particularly say on busy roundabouts, compared with my manual D3.
The ride is HARSH with tyres at the right pressure - 20" wheels, compared with 17" on my D3. What please are the smallest wheels I can fit, I know 19" are OK, what about 18" ?
Engine seems good; pulls well; I do hope that it proves to be reliable.
It seems "bigger" & "heavier" than my D3 despite actually being substantially lighter, with similar overall dimensions.
Overall my "permagrin" is still there.
Thanks to all who have given advice.

Thanks Glynne
I had updated my sig. but not my profile - all done now.
Red Merle - Yes they are expensive - I have heard suggestions that I can fit LR 18" wheels with "appropriate" spacers; I might follow that route as I have a set of 18" already, with reasonable tyres on them.

Silly question, but how is the Landmark substantially lighter than your D3?

Before ditching your 20's, just soften them a touch. Drop the pressure by 2psi all round and try that. Even a little reduction made the ride on my 21's better.

Drove swmbo's D4 with 19" Duratracs yesterday and really noticed how much better the ride was than on my D4 with 20" GGAT3's - again over country lanes and potholes!!! .

If anyone looking at the posted link to Compomotive wheels on the bay, would double check they fit a D4.
They have been fitted to a 2006 FFRR which was the model yr that range rover wheels changed and their are issues with earlier wheels fitting Discoveries. Post 2006 should be fine, though they have a different off set to the D4. Have no idea if the off set would / will make any difference on fitting the D4 in this 18 inch size.
The checker on the bay site states they will not fit a D4 D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

Well you learn something new everyday I thought that both the D3 and D4 were basically the same car and if anything, it would be the fitted equipment that would raise the weight, which in the Landmark is a lot My V5 shows the Mass in Service as 2640kg.
