I have noticed for the last couple of weeks my heated front screen has been rubbish..... the car today kept warning about low battery and shutting down so it makes sense that the car could just not run it.
Hopefully problem solved now, just need to wait for another frosty morning.

New alternator fitted, frosty morning this morning, cleared the screen in no time 
I guess it makes sense really when you think about it but it wasn't my 1st thought for the last few weeks with a windscreen that took ages to clear.
