Just been in for its second service and the selector was replaced.
Sent the dealer photos of the problem in advance and they ordered the replacement so that I only needed the one visit.
The original main dealer I had it booked in with would not play ball with the photo approach and said bring it in for the service, we will check it out then order any part required, then you will have to bring it back when the part arrives.

I'm having this problem on a 2016 D4, would anyone know if this would be covered under Land Rover European warranty as the dealer is 2000 miles away?I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Hi there, forgive my ignorance but is this something that a dealer will replace even if out of warranty? Mine does not illuminate, only the PNDRS lettering.

From previous posts it is not just replacing a bulb or an led you have to replace the gear selector unit..

If a TSB has been issued, should the dealer not check for this problem and replace it as a matter of course during the service?I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Does anyone have the LTB00966 PDF they can upload please so I can show it to the dealer when it goes in for a service next week?

finally just got dealer to agree this is a problem on mine after presenting them with the TSB prior to that they where saying it was all testing as expected even though i had told them prior to the service it used to illuminate, seems they wont go and look for a TSB you have to prompt them about it Tintenter

Just picking up on this as discovered I have the issue with light not illuminating.
One year out of warranty, but do have another service left on the service plan. Are they likely to replace and not charge me if I show the TSB?

mine done on warranty on Monday,,,,think the new one is different as its got dimples on the outside...think the old one was smooth...

How much is the selector from Lr? My 2015 has stopped illuminating.

much cheaper off a well known action site and will be plug and play with minimal effort on your part to install Stolen - D4 Loire Blue
