Hi All,
Just got my car back from LR, and I have an advisory on the health check regarding high pressure AC service valve cap missing.
Where will I find this and where will I be able to get the cap that has gone missing?

Almost impossible if you know a mobile air con guy or see one ask him as that's where I got mine from  Discovery 3 se gone

I dont see any UK or European ones as most like this come form China 
They seem standard and so a scrap yard might well provide a source (perhaps from any car with air con if they are standard sizes)

They are pretty standard as otherwise you would need a few air on connectors to fit all the different size's Discovery 3 se gone

Do they get bored doing MOTs.................... a valve cap for crying out loud 
Old girl in for MOT next week at 72K miles. I will remove the AC valve cap and see if they spot it. I'm curious now  "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

I think the H high and L low side are different sizes.
One is along by the battery
I'm sure you could put a bit of tape over it, until your AC needs some rework, at which point the AC man would have some spares at £0

i ran without mine for about 6 months then down my mates garage a mobile air-con guy was doing some fault finding on a beemer and i asked him and he obliged for a fiver sorted Discovery 3 se gone

As previously stated car AC caps are pretty much the same with a few exceptions but the Landrover ones are normal sizes one size for suction (low pressure larger pipe) and one for discharge(high pressure smaller pipe)any car main dealer or aircon centre will have have stock or search AC service caps on ebay

Awesome thank you. I can't remember the reason but LR said there was a reason for the cap something to do with the pressure.

It just stops dirt settling in there so when you attach pipes it does not get in the system Discovery 3 se gone

No different to a valve cap on your tyre.As the last comment primarily there to stop dirt and dust.if you dont have one shouldn't be a problem initially but the next time somebody fits a set of gauges could push grit into your system and then cause a leak through valve not sealing.for the cost of them get a new one but until then just some tape over valve better than nothing.

I managed to drop one of mine (I think when fitting a new condenser) and just went to the local breaker yard and picked one out of a random cars engine bay.
Cost £0.

I have managed to source the part I am after! Just for future reference if anyone else requires the caps in the future the part numbers are:
JUS10006 or JUS10007.
I got mine for £4.50
