Air suspension Problem
I put the D3 into a local garage to get the rear brake calipers changed, because the rear off-side was sticking so I had both replaced.
I picked the D3 up yesterday and when the lad brought it around I noticed that the air compresser was working overtime and I could hear it, which has never happened before! Didn't worry to much as it had been parked up for nearly a week but now it happens at start up and when I selected access height, it says suspension in extended mode then reset suspension height if clear of obstacle.
Off road height is ok when selected and going down in to normal is again ok, but all the time the compresser is working and now it says suspension fault and it needs to cool.
Has anyone got any ideas or suggestions before I go back to the garage??
Plus if the compresser is knackered, are they liable??
Really need help on this, cheers

Sounds like they've either upset one of the height sensors or, hopefully not, jacked it up
by the compressor cover and done some damage.
Best to take it back but have a good look at the compressor cover before going.
Could simply be a coincidence of course, what's the mileage?

I thought the compressor was just in front of the NSR wheel, alongside the chassis member.

Rear near side I believe.
Using the housing as a jacking point can break the mounting bracket resulting in a lot of noise & vibration. Don't know if it would break anything else though.http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...100x28.gif

Right Lads, thanks for all the replies
The garage took a look at the D3 along with there so called auto electrician!!
He never had an error code and also thought my compressor was on it's way out and needed replacing.
I then spoke to the owner who gave me the money to get the error codes read.
The code comes back as C1A 13/64 apparently something to do with the exhaust being blocked and not allowing the air to release?? but the result is a new compressor at £740 at my cost unless I can proved the garage was at fault.
Now if it's just one of them things I'll try and get Warrant Direct to replace it, but does anyone know if the garage could of damaged it jacking it up??
I know it's a long shot but any help/ideas would be fantastic

Jacking on Compressor
If your garage has jacked up on the compressor plastic cover, I would expect to see scratch and scrape marks on the cover where it flexed and distorted when the jack saddle took the weight if the vehicle. It must be worth a look, and it's not difficult to see.

Lads, just put a wee note in the general section thanking youse for telling me to check underneath the D3.
The garage have said they are going to let me get it replaced and they will pick up the tab as they had used the compressor cover to jack the D3 up.
Again many thanks

Just a cautionary note.......get it confirmed in writing by the garage concerned, doesn't need to be a legal contract, just something confirming that they are liable for the cost of the replacement.
Fair play to them for admitting the damage was caused by them.
