Driving along then I suddenly got a Park brake Fault followed by HDC fault all special systems off then car lowers and speedo stops working.
Stopped got to Tesco stopped got back in all reset then 3 miles up the road it happened again
Had to keep driving picked the boy up from school. All reset apart from yellow brake light on dash then within 50 yards all went off drove home on bump stops.
Has any one any ideas where to start looking as I have 3 days before I go back to work so need to sort it fast
Checked the brake lights they are working fine and as for as I know the EPB seems to activate normally.
The only thing I have done is to jet wash it yesterday morning and I noticed over the last few weeks its been taking longer to fire up i.e. 5 or so turns before starting but i put that down to the colder weather.
Any help appreciated hope its a cheap fix as the TV mysteriously cracked before Xmas when both my teenagers where home alone so a bit skint now Stephen

Your battery ain't to bad try charging it first and it sounds as if you have a pelriblem with your front speed sensor have you tried clearing the fault and if so does it come back Discovery 3 se gone

the clue to your problem is with the second fault code, you need to go and jack up your car and check to see if you sensor is broken/disconnected then start looking for other problems (I would prob start behind the splash guard on the n/s front wheel) hth if not go to someone that can help (best to not get things to wet underneath if you can help it) please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

Well I have ordered a new sensor at £20 not worth not having one will be here on Monday. But jobs stopped now due to the lads 14th birthday bash. Currently standing in the rain watching a bunch of kids kicking a ball around. Stephen

Try resetting your steering angle sensor as well while there's a really good chance it is the abs sensor the steering angle sensor has been known to throw a few different wobbly's Discovery 3 se gone

£20 sounds a bit cheap to me are you sure you've ordered a speed sensor and not a brake wear sensor,i would have a quick check to see if youre current sensor is covered in rust particles first shouldn't take long to check its the 8mm bolt inside the hub unit though be carefull as if it hasn't been out recently they have a habit of snapping so be carefull and patient and you should get it out ok
I normally remove and clean mine when ever ive got the wheels off as getting the wheels off is the worst part and as the sensor is magnetic the do pick up a bit of crud especially if you discs are a bit rusty please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

Checked the sensor everything looks OK no sign of damage a very fine coating of rust but nothing seams to be wrong gave it a clean but wondering is it worth resembling and trying or just putting the new sensor on tomorrow when it comes. advice pls Stephen
