Scottish Highland Rental Suggestion
As per title, planning to take family up to the highlands now we have moved to the Borders.
Want to go Easter sort of time, ideally a pub nearby, walks and dog friendly. Perhaps a little soft off roading thrown in to
Lots to be found on the net but I would rather go on recommendation off here.

Highlands is a very big place, you couldn't be a bit more specific as to where you want to go?

Totally easy. Somewhere with some snow, walks and views. Appreciate this doesn't narrow it down much ! We live near Berwick so ideally within 3 hours or so.James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

Nice enough, but it's about 6 hours from Berwick.
3 hours is going to get you to Dalwhinnie on a good day, another half hour to Aviemore.

Tayvallich on the west coast or lower largo on the east coast. Great if you have kids who like rock pools

For snow your most likely chances would be Aviemore area or Braemar.
Aviemore is bigger and busier, there are some good places to eat and drink and more facilities especially for kids. Swimming pool cinema etc.
Both have plenty of options for walks in forests or up into the hills/mountains. Ski slopes close by, if there's any snow by Easter. Lecht and Glenshee have none at the moment. Not sure if Cairngorm has any runs open.
