Juddering under load/uphill...
I've just done 1600 mile in the last two weeks and I've noticed that when the car is under load going uphill that it judders.
What's causing this? And is this the symptom that Dr Tranny resolves?
I'm guessing this is down to the torque converter?

Your guess is probably right. Check if the revs are fluctuating. Dr tranny may help for a while. But you may be looking at a new box if there is some mileage on it.

The revs stay the same. What's at fault the torque converter or the box ?

TC. Change now is the best route, delay and you could well be looking at a gearbox rebuild at treble the cost.

Great, what's the cost of a new TC fitted? How long does Dr Tranny tend to last and are there any ill effects to using it?

Ill effect is it hides the symptoms and once it's worn off you're in for a much bigger bill than you would have had.

BUdget £1000 to £1200 for TC. Tranny will by you time. Delay too long and you may need autobox refurb.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
