Best place to purchase tailgate actuator?

Hey guys,

Moved the D3 on a while ago and now in a D4 which, up until now has managed its 114,000 miles without any issues.
However, I am now paying for that.

1. Air suspension randomly says only 'Normal Height available'

2. Front lower suspension bushes needed replacing

3. The old tailgate failure has loomed. However, the tailgate wouldn't yesterday but this morning, when pressing the key fob, there was a click and the top opened slightly. So stripped everything down and cleaned it all up. Infamous L bracket was intact and everything looked good. However on reinstalling, the key fob needs pressing twice to full open the tailgate. First click lets it open partially but unable to, lift tailgate, but second click opens it fully. I presume the actuator is on its way out? Or the cable has stretched?

Where is the best place to order a new actuator from other than the local stealership?

I am also guessing a new compressor is on the cards to ......

Your tailgate issues sound more like the microswitch than the actuator IMO.

Compressor also sounds on its way out.

Neither is hard to change DIY.

I buy pretty much all parts from Advanced Factors. Great service and keenly priced.

Apache,

Thought that but it works but in two stages....would have thought if the switch was faulty it just would work at all?
