| Lightweight Dog Barrier?? Any views? |

Hi All
Having reduced the 'fleet' somewhat I find myself in need on occasions (such as today) to take our dogs out in the Disco as opposed to the Outlander van...
I'm looking for a lightweight, easy in and out, dog guard... (i don't want a crate or LR Full height one as I needs to come in and out with ease..)

has anyone got any recommendations?
Our dogs are pretty good, but we sometimes have foster dogs who don't always follow the 'rules' an sometimes will want to sit in the front seat!

 Only negative from me I'm afraid, its very flimsy in construction and attachment points,( think its a universal 'one-fits-all' effort that attaches to the head rests?) better half had one in a Golf a few years back and it was Cr  p  More recently a friend of mine had similar in his D4 with his 'very' well trained springer spaniel, the dog didn't cause it any issues but it just flopped about, eventually replaced with a more secure 'half height' copy.

surprising how quick they will make themselves comfortable, soon as i got my D3 the lab claimed the middle row of seats and my bichon the passenger seat , got the seat belt harness for them

its not a dog barrier its a cargo barrier if you value your dogs life put him/her in a proper crate which will secure them properly

A proper crate is still easy to lift in and out but crucially will protect him in the event of an accident. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

agree ref the dogs , mine are on the seats but the first thing i bought them were a full harness , where they also clip into the seat belt
so that i know they are safe, won't go anywhere if i have to do an emergency stop
don't fancy a lab in the back of my head in an accident or braking hard
surprising how many loose dogs u see in a car, horrifies me when u sometimes see dogs on drivers laps

It is only as a temporary measure... I totally agree and get the cage.. However I have a fully kitted out Outlander Dog Van that I use daily , But on occasions (like this week with one dog in season) I need to take one down to the woods. I have used (and just sold my spare Trans K9) and have used other custom crates. in this case I just need a simple off the shelf solution for very occasional use. I know its a transit barrier... but my description related more to use of same.. rather than the correct term if you got my drift..
Mike - its 'your' Zoe that is in Season... 
The Golf Estate is up for Sale, and the 7 Seat Outlander is also going up for sale once I get around to giving it a wash and valet and photographing it.... No Snow yet... Pity... that would have got a speedier sale 
I'm also doing some work on Mandy's Grooming Van - I need to fit her Halfords Pro topbox for her scissors, blades, etc... (and she wants it wrapped in Pink.. LOL) 1 TR6 Rusting away quietly

Agree as above, either proper dog cage that ties down to the floor easily or thenproper LR job, the cheap ones just aren't worth crack unless your moving a Handbag dog around.
Fornyor requiremenrs the cage will be the easiest thing and will help contain dog hair and wet dog smell as well FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
