Good looking D5s
I think this one looks pretty good from the front with the Dynamic Pack (the car in the background that is, not the prop in the foreground!)
Edit: For some reason the picture I posted didn't work - beginners error.

That one doesn't do it for me, too much sticky back plastic and toilet roll tubes stuck to the front.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

I dont get it ? No one seemed to care that the Disco's used to look like the P38's of the same era, and then the D3 morphed into the D4 ? yet people genuinely expect that the D5 was going to weigh 3 Tonne's and have the aerodynamic factor of a shed on wheels? Honestly, did you? because anyone looking at the FFRR, RRS, Evoque, Freelander not sporty at all thing, to come up with an argument against can't really be a Land Rover fan / follower at all and just be solely interested in the Disco's of yesteryear.
Land Rover have been saying for years that their vehicles arent compliant with safety, they them selves have openly written this down for the general public to read yet here we all are shocked that there are only a handful of shapes that can be adopted to shroud 4 wheels and look like a car.
Of course it looks like other cars on the road, if it didn't it would be horse and a carriage.
The Q3 looks like Q5 and the newest one's look like the Q7's? The A4 looks like the A8.
All the BMW's look the same, One Merc looks pretty much like another......
So why is it that land rover should be the only manufacturer STILL making vehicles that are not Pedestrian friendly in the event of an impact, whilst they all look completely different to each other? Isn't that what Land Rover are famous for, building vehicles that look nothing like anything else in the line up that are inherantly faulty, unreliable and costly to produce. Yet some one "Copying VW's MQB Platform idea" baring in mind most of the top tier at JLR are German has thought about production and utilised the modular platform to cross several models and meet reliability issues head on, yet we still aren't happy.
People have bolted all sorts of to Land Rovers, me included BUT when Land Rover does then it's got to be ? looks crap and will fall off. I personally think it looks great, even better with those fins on the front intakes, but then again what do i know? i actually thought the D4 looked just like the D3.Only dead fish go with the Flow !

Audi have realised this philosophy of all models looking the same isn't working for them so are changing the strategy as buyer have expressed they want individuality.... just as LR are making all their range look the same.
It is growing on me but have to say it's a shame it is SO samey when there was a chance to make it more WOW.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

chill out
Just because I don't like toilet roll tubes suck to the front of my Disco doesn't mean I'm not a fan. It's personal taste, some will like it some won't.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

I'm actually quite chilled about the whole thing, i've made my mind up just as you have made up up yours. It's just that i try and use this Forum for a bit of background into what's happening, who's ordering what, where they've been spotted etc, which dealers going to get what model on demo and every time something positive comes out theres a crap ton of double negatives. Just like there was when they brought out the crap D3.
Remember that ?

"Good looking D5's"
For a moment there, I thought that the breaking news was that LR had done a far reaching and last minute re-skin of the new car!

I'm not a fan yet but I'm sure it will come. I didn't like the Evoque either when it came out but we ended up with one for 3 years

I’m sure most people on here wouldn’t mind the ugliness if the vehicle had other qualities. The fact that the space isn’t utilised well or the vehicle isn’t so practical for me, makes it appear more ugly than it need be! Thing about the D3 was how quickly people appreciated how clever the packaging was...
