Landrover Approved Warranty is NOT a landrover warranty?
Hi,
Had my car into Duckworths for a service on 22 Nov, all was completed as agreed,
on the Healthcheck sheet they raised an amber issue and were checking regarding Warranty Authorisation
I called the service dept on 30 Nov for an update as not heard anything, still unable to confirm if warranty but will call me back by end of the week.
As yet still not heard a thing..very POOR customer relations bring back George !!
Dan still excellent in parts dept, but service dept
So dropped CRC a PM to see if they were "concerned" by their dealers lack of response and the fact warranty authorisation could not be confirmed.
Rather surprised by the reply from CRC "not something they can help with" because
Quote:
the warranty that is applied to the vehicle is provided through a third party, and is not a warranty provided by Land Rover
So it seems when is a warranty NOT a LandRover warranty, when its a LandRover Main Dealer two year Approved Warranty
Why bother with a main dealer just buy direct from WD or similarTransit! 2019

It's Car Care Plan ISTR, not LR. Only way you get a LR warranty (underwritten by LR) is to sell the car before 3 years.

Hi,
I was under the impression it was backed by LandRover but CRC response does not reflect this
Definitions in the LandRover branded booklet read as
Administrators.... car Care plan ltd trading as Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration
Company........... Jaguar Land Rover Limited

Better warranties out there, they just don't wear a LR badge.

You'll have enough to buy a D5 cash. Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

I had an occasion to use the LR approved extended warranty whilst in France a couple of years back and they were superb, whisked the Disco to an official service agent and supplied us with another 4X4 (not a LR) for the week it took to sort out the problem.LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF
