AA Cover

Morning all.

Just had a renewal notice letter from the AA and it has gone up from £22 to £37 per month.

When I took the policy of a year ago I added all the home start, onward travel and the £500 parts claim option.

I've not had any reason to call them in the past year so does the AA work in a similer way to car insurance where if I were to call the will lower the price.

I know £37 is a small amount to pay for the peice of mind as car is mainly used by my partner with our toddler so it's more of a principle thing.

Many thanks

Tony

I think it is always worth a phone call in these circumstances and do a bit of negotiation.

I agree with Mr L319, My renewal went from £21 to £27 for my RAC Chauffeur/taxi policy this year so i rang them and said i had been a good customer with only 3 call outs in 7 years and now the same policy has been reduced to £17 for 6 months then £23 for the next 6. Always worth a call fella Thumbs Up

Ukraine

This year it's RAC through Clubcard vouchers. Thumbs Up All singing & dancing for me & SWMBO, any car, for £65 ISTR, plus annual European cover from Eurotunnel (AA provide the cover) for £100. We look every year and change UK cover to whoever is offering the best deal. Only consider AA, RAC & greenflag, sometimes they are open for a bit of haggling. No way would I be paying twenty or thirty something per month for UK cover. Thumbs Up
