It was all going so well after Bodsey's remap then the starter motor packs up. Managed to bump start it down the hill and got it to a garage that can do it today but no idea what it's going to cost.
My usual Indy was too busy to help but said it's a pig of a job.
Anyone know what I should be expecting to pay? Don't want get my trousers pulled down here!
Thanks,
Tony

What are the symptoms? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Just get a solenoid clunk. Ran ok once bump started.
IID BT wouldn't connect so couldn't get any fault codes. (It saw it ok but said couldn't connect to high speed bus) edit. Didn't think to check again once it was running. Anyhoo it's in the garage now

So the health or otherwise of starter motor has yet to be determined?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
That's correct Robbie. When I spoke to my indie he asked if the interior lights dimmed when I tried to start it (no). I don't know if that helps?? All I know is the solenoid clunks

Ok, that can be a few things.
Best not to bump start it next time as that can get very expensive very quickly.

Oops! I didn't know that. But there's a lot that I don't know. What I do know is you can get a shiney new starter motor fitted for £296.93 Inc vat. Thanks to Parr Automotive in Market Harborough for squeezing me in at such short notice!
