Dealer Fit Bluetooth
OK, I'm stuck.
Got my D3 back in the summer. It had all the bits on there for the phone (HSE), but when i went to pair, it didn't connect on 2121.
Lots of research and I find that I have the aftermarket dealer fit phone, pairs on 0000.
Again lots of looking around as the phone works as I would expect, but, drops the call as soon as it's answered....cue, me back on here looking for lots of advice.
So, lots of searches and links to bluetoothexchange, I find that I'm now stuck.
The original factory fit module won't fit, but I don't seem to find one that will....if you see what I mean. Am I going to have to bite the bullet and either scrap the current stuff and end up with a Parrot or something, as to retrofit the original factory fit system seems to be pretty expensive, when all I want is a phone to use the audio system....As it shows as "Ford Audio" on the phone when trying to pair, is it likely to be a Ford part obtainable through Ford dealers?
Can anyone tell me which module I need to be looking for, and where the dealer may have fitted the current module? Is is likely to be behind the interior panel in the boot, like the factory fit?
I have done searches all day long, but nothing seems to answer the questions....

If you want to add a D4 Bluetooth module cables etc, I have kits
Simple enough to plug in if you've a nav screen or 6 CD player, then just power and a CCF edit Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Wiggs or Beanie or Geoff. is your man and D4 module is the answer to your crisis HSE you've got most of what's needed except the module and MOST cable to do the job properly.It can when others can't,

IF IT PAIRS WITH 0000
u will have 2 modules one in the nsf kick panel and one in the osf kick panel these will need to be removed and all the wiring if you want to fit a D4 module

Hmmm, ok, Well, I have the six cd player and the nav unit fitted, so how long a job is it to get all the old stuff out and fit the D4 stuff? Ball park price?
I do accept that it seems that it's the best option all round....

You've also got the working mic, steering switches. I've tried them all and without a doubt D4 module is way, way the best. Buy cheap, buy twice or three times It can when others can't,

In some cases I agree with you buy cheap buy twice. It also depends on the use of what you buy too. I wanted Bluetooth music
I also have the landrover standard Bluetooth kit with 2121 pairing code. I connect my iPhone to both Bluetooth kits At the same time. It let's me play music on the CIG lighter 1. and answer calls with the landrover 1.
I used to mess about with 3.5mm jack plugs for music. Now I don't need too.
I've had it this way for years now and nothings broken.
Some cheap things are good. Lol.

I'm interested in the D4 module. I have an SE with Highline. Can anyone let me know what more loom I'll need - and even let me know where I can buy from? Does it include the voice module too?
