Ahh, the LR definition of the gearbox 'end-of-life'.

Enjoy the next mile.

I have had it since 2011 when it had covered 78,000 miles.

I have replaced the usual stuff over the years. Belts, all the undercarriage bits, front suspension airbags, compressor and brake bits of course. It's been de-tangoed and had D4 LEDs on the back but other than that it's standard.

I reckon it has cost me about £1500 a year in maintenance costs, which is much less than the depreciation on a new one and it just does what I need it to do. I will carry on replacing the bits that wear out and squeeze another 150,000 out of it. Whistle

And it's a manual. None of your southern softie automatics with their weak and feeble torque converters here! Laughing

Once replaced a clutch and flywheel on an 05 Disco, all original at 247,007 miles. Only replaced as the DMF had failed, and was shaking the car to bits. Upon removal, the clutch still looked like new Thumbs Up
