brake bleeding but the brake itself is locked?? |
|
Hello
I tried to do brake bleeding process, but unfortunately I found that the brake itself is locked so I could not push the old brake oil out from the nipple of the brake caliper. I follow these steps
1. Lift the car with jack and hold it with jack stand
2. Open the bonnet and suck the brake oil from container and put new brake oil
3. Connect the nipple of brake caliper with small hose going to the bottle to retrieve old oil
4. Loosen the nipple of brake caliper
5. Press the brake ==> STUCK, I could not press the brake, it's locked
I tried to put key in I or II position it's not working as well
Any idea?

Is the nipple blocked, you could always try the other side.

You dont need the key in ignition you may well have a faulty brake bleed nipple so do try another or if you take out that nipple and push the pedal very lightly does fluid then come out Discovery 3 se gone
