Lights - being a bit lazy
I admit before asking this question to taking the easy option rather than go out in the torrential rain we have here today
I have a 62 plate disco 4 XS ( registered in December 2012)
My driver side headlight has gone and whilst I have a replacement H7 bulb from my previous D3 I am not sure whether the D4 has halogen or xenon lights
Can anyone enlighten me or tell me an easy way to tell to save me getting slacked taking the light out only to find I need to put it back together to go and get a xenon
Thanks for your help

Than if you cant see the bulb in the head light itself but you can see a glass bowl type that look like the bowl in mine then you have properly got xeons

No, the 2012 halogen projectors look the same. Have you got the fairy lights?

If by fairy lights you mean the small lights around the main beam and high beam then yes I have
Really hoping they are halogen as just seen the price of xenon

+1 - I have washers and auto lights but only halogen projectors. As above, having (or not having) fairy lights is probably a better indicator of whether you have xenons or halogens respectivelyD4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

If those fairy lights illuminate, you've got Xenons (unless you've a very rare limited edition that had halogens and fairy lights)
You don't have to remove the lamp cluster to check, there's a label on top when you lift the bonnet. But yeah it's raining here too, enjoying the flooded roads!

Thanks all for your help
After a quick swim out to the car on the drive I have confirmed that the fairy lights do not light up and a quick look at the label on top of the light cluster identifies them as halogen
Off later to get two new H7 from Halfrauds to replace both sides for mot
