D4 security?
SIL has had his MY13 D4 "broken into" and vandalised while it was parked on their front drive, all personal effects stolen that where inside, all three windows on passenger side broken, my daughter was the last to drive it and is certain she locked it, but like always with only one click on the fob. New glass was not available from stock from JLR .
This was 10 days ago, the glass has now been obtained and fitted and car returned, on my suggestion they have locked it and tried all the doors only to find the rear near side is not locking
The questions are, if the car is locked with one press should the alarm go off if a door is opened in a case like this?
Does the D4 have the same pathetic sounder as the D3?- if it has can the horns be used and made to operate same as the D3? - They say they have never heard the alarm go off at any time since owning the car.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

One click is not enough on a D4. Unless tweaked you need to press the lock button twice to properly lock and alarm the vehicle.
Funnily enough I just enabled one-click superlock on an MY16 a few moments ago.
The horn on alarm is not configured as per a D3 so the sounder trick does not work.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
