Daylight Running Lights Help Wanted

Hi all.

I have received my halo drl from ebay and wnted to install those until I saw this photo (below). Now I want these and want to install something like this instead (unless you think the halo on the fogs would look good with it also).

Question I have is where would I find these ones?

Could someone point me in the right direction please.

I am guessing from the photo it looks as if I would drill 5 individual holes on each side for them. Wirng I will ask someone about later one when I receive them.

Thanks.

Ok.

Ive found what I was looking for. Took a while but got there in the end. Actually bought 3 different styles/lights as they were so cheap I thought id see how they look when lit temporarily mounted.

Cant believe how cheap drl led's are going for.

Hi guys.

I've bought myself a few various day time leds lights. Not sure which one I wil fit until they arrive and I position them temporarily on the cars

Question for have is do I need to buy a drl relay for these to work properly? There are some going for a round £10 which say they dim/reduce the light by halve in certain situations. The lights I bought are non dimmable but would I still need the relay for them to work or can I wire them straight into the car somewhere?

Many thanks.

Hi.

I have bought myself 5 different types of DRL's.

1- Fog halo's
2- 'Z' shape LED's
3- X10 individual/separate eagle eye's (5 per side and can be put into any shape I want)
4- X10 LED's per strip (mounted on a flexible black rubber strip)
5- Audi style flexible LED strip the if connected (optional if yellow cable is connected) will also turn yellow and indicate like Audi where the light starts small then increases in size until the whole LED is yellow.

I bought all 5 because they were cheap but I didn't know which one to use and where to place it. Also wanted to see what they all looked like in person. I have a few ideas as to which LED to use and where to place them but im still not 100% sure on it and wanted to ask if some of you can give me some ideas on what you would think will look good on which LED to use and where to place it.

Id like my end result to not look tacky. I will be installing a relay with the lights but ill be asking more questions on that once I have chosen which LED to use and where to place it.

I have a D3 HSE if that helps.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Or, if there are any other more decent looking LED's that you suggest I could buy then I would be happy to buy another set if they look good.

looked at that when i fitted leds into my sidelight ref the other one next to it

it goes into a blank , can see another one but seems u have to take the light apart to get it in

as when i put my sidelights on and put a bulb in the spare one that will also come on

it can't see how it illuminates anything else unless i take the light apart

it's likely staring me in the face
