Stalled my D3 a few times. Usually when failed climbing a hill, wheels going forward but car sliding backwards. Car gets confused.

Mine has stalled. My EGR was stuck and I was on a hill. Couldn't get it going as it would rev. Ended up putting it in low range.

I have a manual gearbox and can hold the car on the clutch without touching the accelerator on a steep hill, so anti-stall of some type is fitted. Still stall the all the time though. If you don't touch the accelerator and let the clutch out slowly you should notice the revs rise a bit as it bites.

If the anti stall is configured the same as the TD5 engine it only works at idle, as soon as you open the throttle you are on a different throttle map without the anti stall feature.

You can stall the auto....
I have once on a hill climb on a pay and play day that I poorly executed.
Cannot remember exactly how I managed it...Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders
