Oem or brembo??
Opinions needed please folks, just had hydro bushes done at lr dealer but still have chatter through steering wheel when braking .
So having to fork out for new discs and pads ( not happy when I've done 2500 miles since buying from dealer) and notice problem 500 miles in to ownership !
So my question is would you go oem or brembo ? Can get grooved and slotted discs ( brembo ) slightly cheaper than oem , or mechanic mate says padget branded ones are as good as oem , but cheaper ! Thoughts pleaseD3 Java black HSE now gone

Have a look at site sponsor Advanced Factors.
They so OEM brake kits for front/rear axel. I've just dealt with them for first time and found their service excellent.
I can't comment on longevity of the kit as only had tears on a few months, and fitted fronts this weekend, but others reported good things.

i will need new front discs/pads in the next 3 months. The Advanced kit seems to have TRW discs rather than Brembo. Seem to remember other threads saying stick with Brembo? I assume TRW isnt rebranded Brembo or vice versa?D4 GS 12MY

I had judder through the steering wheel and changing he front discs and pads solved it. Now 10k miles later its come back. Is it the OEM discs warping?

spikekellyrm It could be if your heavy on the brakes , you have to remember the discovery is a heavy old beast and the reason why a lot of the d3 owners changed too the v8 brake set upD3 Java black HSE now gone

The D4 already has bigger brakes than the D3, but this brake judder is something a few of us have seen, and in a lot of cases, even after numerous disc and pad changes (and front wheel bearing changes) have not resolved. The consenus was that it was a caliper issue, but LR wouldnt look at replacing these under warrenty, just kept throwing more discs and pads at it.

Al cope , as per landrover have said they will get it back in and have a look but if it's discs and pads they won't cover it under warranty , but surely if there's a common fault they should be doing more to sort it or is that just me being hopeful?D3 Java black HSE now gone
