Help - Gearbox fault
2010 MY D4 HSE - Tried to put car into low range and it came up with gearbox fault, Hi/ Lo switch flashing, low flashing on dash along with yellow triangle and other warning lights, stability inactive error and emergency brake not available
IID reads TCCM - Transfer Case PO915-00 (2F) Gearshift position Circuit range/ performance
Fault won't clear - any ideas? I think this is the first time I've tried low ratio in this carMark

Landrover assistance couldn't clear it so its off to the service centre, his guess is the selector fork for the transfer case is jammed as its probably never been used beforeMark

Note to self, try low box today. Mine's probably never been used since the car was built.

Isn't checking low box function part of the standard annual service so in theory there should be an annual check the selector is working?D4 GS 12MY

Car is back, all credit to Lancaster Thatcham for a quick fix.
They did some firmware updates to the transfer case and I think gearbox and that seems to have cured the problem Mark

I think it's a good policy to occasionally select everything selectable to ensure it works and things don't give up because they are never used. Mine occasionally goes off road, nothing serious, just fields usually, but I will take the opportunity to press all the buttons and dials to check operation.
One of the main problems with the EPB is where people just didn't use it in normal driving, resulting in it seizing and making strange noises. More prevalent on the D3 I believe, but not unknown on D4's.
I also use Sand mode every now and then when there's a GTi next to me at the traffic lights --
