Can anyone comment on Goodyear Duratracs in snow? Not had chance to test them yet! Whistle

I have them on my Amarok and drive to ski resorts each year.

I've used them on roads 4" deep in fresh snow and on packed-ice inclines and not had to use 4x4 yet, the Amarok being RWD.

Fantastic tyre.

Yes!

always remember that you are driving a 2.7-2.8 tons box rebelling at every change of directions.

The best car on the snow was the "old" Fiat Panda 4x4 (850 kg)

It does look like the snow has melted a bit there though Whistle

Funny thing but between 2000 and 2010 I never had any issues driving FL1s/2s and D2s in the worst weather on oem tyres - they pulled away effortlessly and stopped with a bit more distance Mr. Green

I then got a RRS and first snow Censored myself on the 20" Conti tyres fitted by LR and discovered they were summer tyres Shocked

I bought a set of used 19" Goodyear wrangler from buelbeast here and problems solved 8)

2013 bought another RRS this time fitted with pirelli scorpions and stupidly sold the spare set thinking they were all season - first snow I found out how wrong I was Rolling Eyes

Ended up buying a set of Conti winter tyres following year but we had a mild winter and never saw the benefit before I sold it Sad

Last winter I had Goodyear wrangler again on the DS and was really impressed with them https://vimeo.com/157483964

This year I'm on oem Toyo summer tyres and not chancing it - I can't get wrangler in my size so fitting CONTINENTAL TS-850 P SUV based on reviews and hopefully going to get some bad weather this time Rolling Eyes
