Hi, I own a Discovery 3, 07 reg, and have recently heard what can only be described as a very loud (loud enough to make you jump) whizzing/whirring/screeching noise when parking, turning the engine off and removing the key from the ignition. The noise has happened only when I've parked on my slopes downwards - not sure if that is relevant. The noise sounds to be coming from the back of the car - and I think from the drivers side rear. The noise didn't happen until I removed the key from the ignition - there was about a 5 second delay between me turning the engine off and removing the key. I put the suspension up and it dose not make the nose at all. Just wondered if anyone has any idea what could be causing this? I don't have any warning lights displayed and the car drives fine! Thank you. LR3 2007 in a 6speed manual in a HSE. 2015 black led rear lights. Rear windows tinted. Chrome door handels, mirrows and side tubes. Drilled and groves disks all round. Stainless steel de cat pipe.

Manuals apply the EPB as soon as the key is removed, the screeching is quite possibly the EPB unit requiring adjustment, have you tried applying it with the switch?
