Got mine, very professional finish. Hope to install soon.
Cheers, Al It's not the weight of it but the slippery hold I've got.

Thanks Al.
Rich has been putting a lot of effort into installation documentation that's far superior to my notes with lots of pics. Perhaps you could PM him for a link to his latest (finished?) versions.

Sounds like Rich will have a good "show and tell" session at the next pub lunch! 8)

Guys, would a good spot to mount the switch be where the auxilliary light switch ("driving lights") goes on the D3? (LHS of steering wheel). On D4 they relocated this switch to centre console - so I'm wondering if they did that for a reason or if there is still plenty of space behind the old location......

Graeme,
Came across this post whilst browsing. Rather than read all 17 pages!!! please advise where I can look at full details of the system kit.

Hi Disco 4,
A brief description of the controller's capabilities can be found at llams.com.au and Rich has generously prepared some excellent installation documentation:

D3 Switch Installation:

I'm hoping to be able to legimately advertise in a small way on this site soon - discussions are underway.

Hey Graeme,
Again, huge on a job well done mate, very nice. I'm sure he's getting a huge amount of calls, and as I am a few months off being able to get one, (need a new EAS first - long story) just wondering if you know what Bruce is charging labour wise?
Thanks in advance, and again, well bloody done!!
Cheers
Gov

Thanks Gov for the compliments. I don't know what BD would charge other than he has reduced his expected installation time since my initial presentation where I handed over the kit to have his people do the installation without my intervention.
I'm wanting to order another batch of looms but need to wait just a little longer to see if I should order 100 sets or just another 50. The 1st 50 took forever to be made but I'm hoping that subsequent batches will take a lot less time. As of yesterday less than 10 kits had been sold so I'm not going to order 100 loom sets unless there's a jump soon.

Wow, I'm very surprised by the number (or lack or) sold so far! Maybe you need to start a new thread so anyone not monitoring this thread directly knows that you are up and running. Also, I'd say there'd be a few on the RRS sister site interested. I'll definately be getting one, as soon as the car is..... errr, well a car again, instead of a very expensive space filler at the local dealers place! Just need to work out whether to do the job myself to take it to DPL.
On a side note, well kinda, I don't suppose you know the proceedure for depressurising the whole suspension system without T4? It's something like "switch off, close door and get two or more wheels off the ground within X amount of time" or something like that. I know it's in the workshop manual somewhere, but if I can find it again!

Hi Gov,
I'm hoping some advertsiing arrangements can soon be made to accomodate my very small scale production so that I can then let people know that the device is available. Anyway, I'm happy to keep numbers low for a little while.
I don't know how to de-pressurise the system.

Graeme,
Fitted and working. Now I have the D3 I wanted when I purchased it.
Rich,
Great instructions, saved me a lot of possible heartache. Just one additional step? Disconnect the spare battery connection if connected to the starter battery positive post.
As you mentioned, driving home the connections is the biggest problem.
Thanks again Graeme for developing the system and Rich for detailed instructions . 06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.

Hi DT,
Thanks for the feedback. My installation instructions are rather basic but Rich has filled the gap for the D3 switch and for the module generally.
The battery is disconnected to avoid any possibility of arcing at the connector pins when removing power from the suspension ecu, so disconnecting the 2nd battery would only be required if using a battery controller that could leave the 2nd battery connected, eg the Traxide ones. An alternate and simpler option is to remove the engine-bay suspension ecu fuse - #3 on D3 but different ones for the various RRS models and D4 so best to refer to the owners handbook. Disconnecting the battery does avoid the possibility of removing the wrong fuse.

So where did you mount your switch?
