As of Thursday, the revised looms were scheduled to be produced next week, after which they need to get Oz then to me and then have a connector fitted. I have 45 modules, boxes, switch leads and loop-back plugs ready except for the last-minute addition of a 5V regulator to the pcbs. Details have yet to be finalised with DPL (the proposed reseller) as I was waiting for confirmation of the cost of the looms, which has now been confirmed as unchanged. I'm hoping the first lot will be available within 3 weeks. I'm now starting to order parts for the next batch that take a while to arrive, endeavouring to eliminate at least some delays.

A phone call to BD at DPL might be worthwhile even though we still have some details to work through. My preference is to have all Oz kits distributed by BD as he already has arrangements with interstate workshops for his ecu upgrades. His agreement to supply kits for DIY installation is yet to be confirmed but I suspect he will as I would supply those myself if he didn't. This will be resolved shortly.
The kit is readily fitted by any person who is inclined to remove covers, unplug/plug leads and mount the switch and LED somewhere, assuming my instructions are clear enough. No searching for individual wires or soldering is required, not for a D3/4/RRS anyway. The switch lead is 1.2m long so that the switch can be mounted in the blank behind the D3's EPB switch if desired.

GraemeS,
Add another to the list for your kit.
Had the D4 for a week and already pulled bits and pieces apart to fit my EBC for the caravan. Looking forward to when your kit will be available.
Cheers,
Cameron. Cameron

A couple of days ago I had this idea that I might be able to provide all 3 heights (-20,+30,+50) using a rotary switch instead of the toggle switch even though the ICs don't have any spare inputs, to do away with the need to reconfigure to get different options. As of a few minutes ago, the D4 now has the new system. Now I need to upgrade the software in all the ICs and change a component on the pcb in all the modules ready to go and replace all the switches with new ones. Its a shame I ordered 100 more toggle switches and bi-colour LEDS last week, now needing rotary switches and tri-colour LEDS but much better to implement the upgrade now. The driving force for the enhancement was that I want to be able to use all 3!

Hi Graeme,
Don't forget the "0" (normal) setting.

Yep, Peter, got that one covered! L (N) M H with the LED at N so as to progressively increase height.
I'll be finished loading the new s/w onto the 1st batch in about an hour, with the new switches expected tomorrow. No news yet on whether the looms were made last week as scheduled.

Hi BlackAdelaide,
This may be the final straw in stretching site advertising rules, but DPL will be selling it so please contact them. He has agreed to my RRP, which includes GST by law. You may need to insist that you just want the kit for DIY installation and if he is reluctant, remind him that I will supply directly if he wont. He wont initially be getting all the 1st batch.
The looms are scheduled to leave the UK on Monday and are expected to arrive at the Oz branch by Thursday. I therefore expect the 1st batch would be available by the end of the following week, as I only need to fit a connector before packaging. The new switches didn't arrive today but they will still be ready by the time the looms arrive.
I now have to mount the new switch in my D4 and will probably replace the driver's accessory power outlet. Its a handy spot and avoids making holes in the soft dash panels.
