Disco 3 -what's in the packs?

Hi Team,

I am about to buy my first discovery 3 and want to understand what is in the often quoted Packs;
Premium ICE Pack
Convenience Pack
Convenience Pack 2 (Return of the Killer Convenience Pack presumably...? Laughing )
Cold Climate Pack
Bright Pack

The only explanation I have seen is on this site and referred to Convenience Pack & Bright Pack but as a newbie trying not get it wrong, your collective expertise is really needed.

One more thing, when test driving, what are the scary things to look, listen and feel for?

Thanks Team, I hope to be a fully fledged member very soon!

Kev

Welcome

I've just looked at my D3 accessory brochure from way back (cant find the car brochure) - nothing

But, if I remember...

Ice Pack - heated washer jets amongst other things
Bright Pack - Xenon's & Driving lights
Premium ICE pack - upgraded stereo and (I think) Sat Nav

However, if you get an HSE (or an early SE) - virtually all the bells and whistles are included.

What to look for?

Usual used car stuff, plus make sure all electronics work, air suspension is OK, FSH critical- if at 100k, make sure belts done. Make sure no knocking suspension at front ( could be lower arms - not cheap)

Door locks can fail

Damp carpets - sunroof (HSE) can leak, pollen filters leak

Chassis can look horrible with rust, but usually OK

Corroded rear brake pipes - MOT fail

Rear A/c if fitted can leak

I'm no mechanical expert but someone will be along shortly who is

Good luck - magic cars

Hi Again,

First,y, it's Airsoft and was supposed to be a profile pic... hey-ho, Censored happens and clearly panther Pack would be a popular option

Thanks Adam for the post, really grateful and starting the search in earnest this afternoon with a another session of wheel kicking and ruin good to look knowledgable tomorrow. Looked at a couple last week and had the first test drive which was fantastic although not the right disco for me, I'm after a late HSE and trying not to be tempted by lowr specs even with vry low mileage.

If anyone does have the definitive Pack contents I'm still pedantic enough to be interested!

Thanks so far...

Kev
