So if a washing machine will stand upright that's the height sorted.
Does anyone know if a single bed will go in the back? I had a single mattress and the divan base in the back of mine today but it was right to the limit!

There are supposed to be three of each vehicle with different spec options:-
Range Rover:- has FFRR, RRS and Evoque all with different trim options.
Discovery:- currently has Sport and high spec D5, so whats the 3rd going to be? the only option left to fill is a more utility version?
Defender:- will have 90, 110, 130 equivalents with 3 spec levels for each vehicle.
So in theory you could buy a high spec 110 that would be better equipped that a low spec Discovery utility.
This is how I see it from reading comments from JLR, clearly I could be wrong.
This could be
The equivalent to the Jag E-Pace (smaller than F-Pace) four wheel drive vehicle.... BREXIT - done properly.

Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

It seems to me that in all these D4/5 comparisons we're not comparing eggs with eggs!
Up until about yesterday you could buy a D4 Graphite for a list price of £47,505. For the same money the highest model of D5 you can buy will be the base model ’S’. You’ll have a bit of cash left over to add the option packs and this will give you some of those little extras that the Graphite has as standard. However you’ll still have a little 2.0 Sd4 engine, cloth seats and halogen headlights!
So the most important question is: …. which one do you think will give you the widest permagrin?
We should rate cars on the number of grins per hour (gph). 2005 D3 HSE

Just got back from dealers veiwing, lots of D3/4 owners there. The car looks good in the flesh.
Rear door height looks bad but since D5 roof is 100mm lower than D3/4 it comes out about the same?
Everyone criticised the shorter load area and higher floor?
The really bad thing people noticed is that due to maintaining the head room the seat bases are 100mm lower! As the fronts are lower there is no foot room underneath, added to the lower middle seat base thete is less leagroom so the 100mm difference becomes 100mm gap between youre thighs and the seat base. As the practical uses have been designed out of the D5 it only leaves the seating as the primary use of the car but this is badly compromised!
The sales guys got fed up of the comments around design choices made by JLR which has moved the target audience to Volvo owners! Series 1 V8

That's concerning. Although they probably expect the rear seat occupants to be children with tiny feet! I was in an Audi A4 taxi the other day and the lack of any room under the front seat was unbelievably uncomfortable.
