Whoopy do!! it has an option to allow you to adjust the seats from anywhere in the world via an App. Why would you want to do that?

Or is this, quite frankly stupid, gimic a teaser as to what is yet to be revealed on the D5? Hopefully less stupid....If they've announced the seat app now, what else might there be technology-wise come 28th Sept?
This can't be the big wow factor its just the start of the build up. Its a fancy gimmick and will be a very expensive option that is never used once the novelty has worn off.
Besides your away from your car and think whoo i need seven seats now best login and do it. How many of us actually have to spend 10 minutes cleaning all the cr&p out the boot and removing the boot liner before actually raising the seats at the moment. is it going to tidy the boot and roll up the boot matt too or will you get an "computer says no" message on your App?MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

you might have met a nice air stewardess on the plane and want to fold all the seats flat

The app most likely communicates with other systems in the car, this is possibly just the first teaser. Will be interesting to see what else. Nav / entertainment / where is my car app / FBH
Obviously the more that is connected, the easier to hack . . . .

It wasn't that long ago that people laughed at using an app' to control central heating, seen a few in houses now. However, by the time I've remembered my damm password and got my 'phone to work, i suspect i could have had it done manually and vacuumed the car as well.
Suspect we'll all be using something simlar in 10 years. I remember being blown away when i could play the other side of the tape, just by pressing a button, no ejection required

It seems to have very thick/wide 'C' pillars that reduce the view a lot as well as the smaller rear window giving it a more cramped feel looking at the first couple of photos posted in this thread.regards

Ok, so the app part of the seat config perhaps seems a bit much, but given the apparent short distance between the rear seats and the tailgate, I can imagine there's a reasonable requirement for some to go from 7 to 5 seats fairly frequently. Being able to do this with a couple of buttons, could easily be a nice luxury - just as I now LOVE my keyless entry on the boot and couldn't imagine life without it!
Now if they can get the dog guard to deploy and retract electrically I will be a firm fan of the car

Drivers Seat:- Lovely is comfortable very nice place to sit.
Passenger Seat:- As above.
2nd Row seats:- seats 3 people with ease Myself my good lady aka 'Legless' and DG sat with comfort, just so you know both myself and DG are... are... erm.. 'well built'
3rd Row Seats:- Both myself and DG could sit side by side without touching shoulders. The second row slides forwards if required. Note we were both sat in the 3rd row of a D4 going around the high speed circuit at Gaydon a couple of years ago and it felt a little cramped and smelt of poo at the end of the run.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
