This big reaction from everyone, and particularly the media, is exactly what he wants.
Many of his views are not something I approve of, but I don't think he's quite the fool people like to make out he is. Method in the madness methinks and whatever you think of him you have to applaud him for the achievement. He is a success in business and is no doubt very good at commercial politics and getting what he wants but the political games played in business and corporations will not transfer well into global politics.
My personal view is this guy is not suitable to be commander in chief of one of the worlds most powerful armed forces. He hasn't demonstrated any aptitude for diplomacy or reserve. WE don't want a person like this in charge, all other countries will be treated like the competition and i wonder what he does to them in his business? take them over or put them out of business?MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Let's hope Churchill was right when he said: "You can always count on Americans to do the right thing — after they’ve tried everything else."

A word from this side...
It's absolutely impossible to get away from the political rat's nest that we've gotten ourselves into! My wife is absolutely fascinated by The Donald (she's a behavioral medicine - psych - nurse). She can't stand him, but is fascinated nonetheless.
As far as Hillary, her "trust rating" is in the toilet after the whole email scandal. Even though the FBI said, before Congress, that what she said wasn't truthful about mishandling classified info they still didn't recommend charges. I'm ex-military, so it's her handling of the Benghazi events that really rile me up.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it goes to show how unhappy many people are with the current gov't that someone from "outside" like Trump can make it this far. Congress has a lower "approval rating" than used-car dealers and lawyers!

Dubya was elected once and appointed for a second term by the court in Florida. ANyway, that's what I read somewhere.

It's about time politics got a shake up and those in charge started listening to the electorate.
