Heater Problem

All

HELP !!!

Heater panel has some items that work, the lights around the heater speed control light up BUT

No power to electric heated seats

No blower motor power

No power to heated front screen

No power to heater rear screen

I have checked what fuses I can under the bonnet {ie 30amp for seats}and all appear fine

Are these all linked to one relay ???

cheers

Update

Got all the lights working ,heated seats / screen / etc the engine needed to be running for some reason or perhaps I only had the ignition key at 1st stage

Blower motor is the only issue

Has lights on the speed switch BUT no blower, is there a relay for the blower ?

regards

Does the blower work if you turn it to the highest speed setting?

The heater switch has all the lights as though it has power etc etc

Is there a manual way to test the heater ?

I think there might be a re-set procedure for the 'HEVAC' system (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning)

A search may find it, may be worth trying a hard re-set as well.

THere is a relay for the motor. It is fitted under the bonnet in the relay box by the battery. R16

There is also a 40A fuse

You could try swapping the relay with the relay for the rear motor. R10. The rear relay is fitted regardless of whether you have a rear heater.

The relay is in the same box

YEP........ top man..... swapped over and the blower works.... I have found a 30am,p relay in the garage for today and will get a 40amp replacement tomorrow

Assuming I dont buy a genuine part do I need a resistor relay or just ny 40amp / 4 pin relay ?

Hi RedditchJay

I'm in the same boat as you.

Where did you get the relay from in the end?

Try a search I think the under bonnet fuse box has a relay for the rear air con no matter whether the car has rear a/c fitted or not, and the posts Ive read say just use that one.
