The MG was a present for my dad for his 80th birthday 2 years ago and he has only done 80 miles since hence why we are selling it so someone else can make better use of it.

It looks like it was originally a 1500cc Triumph engined rubber bumper car that has been converted to chrome bumpers but it looks a nice tidy car for that price.

You're probably thinking of the US bumper version (MkIV) that became standard around 1974/1975. Earlier versions had this front end.

I was actually looking at the air filter cover and the rocker box cover, they look very much like Triumph 1500 items which is the engine fitted to the rubber bumper MkIV Midget.
I am not trying to detract from the car's attraction but trying to explain why the front grille may not look exactly as expected, in my experience a nicely sorted Midget comes very close to being as much fun as you can have with your clothes on and at speeds that won't get you banned from driving.

MGCarr - That's interesting, I know nothing about MGs (the blood in my veins is LR Bronze Green through and through ) all I know is that it sounds great and is fantastic fun to drive (within the speed limits of course ) on the country roads around us
Mogwyth - Transport may not be too bad. Moved my D3 from Southampton to near Aberdeen for less than £400 last February... 8) - Just sayin' that's all The difference between genius and stupidity is; genius has its limits...

Fly to Aberdeen & drive back.... sounds like a fun trip.
I'd go for it like a shot, but I already have 2 MGs - still tempted though.
