How cold is your air con?
So I think I need an air con regas I have had my D3 for almost 3 years now and I haven't done it and I've noticed when it's hot and sunny (rarely I know) the air con is just not cool enough and I end up putting the window down.
How cold is the air your air con blows out?
Thanks,
Jamie

How did you know you needed a new condenser?

Dealer used UV light to look for where gas had escaped, showed up on condenser. Prev regasses had UV dye in it.
And best part? WD paid for it.

Mine got regassed twice before replacing, both times showed no leaks. AC worked for several months but as soon as needed it was warm as warm. Outside driving to Pyrenees (end Sept) it was 39c, inside 42c, was driving in underwear!!! Andorra dealer regassed and that lasted the trip and until condenser was replaced following March

I have never had mine regassed. So I'm hoping it just needs a regas. It works and is cool just not cold!

I have the adapter and a bottle of refrigerant (r154 or something?) that I bought from Halfords to do my lads Fiesta. Worked a treat! Since then I've used it to regass my other sons UP!. It's really easy once you have located the low pressure side fill valve. (Usually has a plastic cap) I'm not sure where the valve is on a D3/4.
So long as you check the pressure first, it's an easy job.
Says on the instructions not to fill a system that's completely empty, as that indicates a big leak.

Just purchased the £32 groupon for air con recharge and anto bacterial treatment. Phoned local ATS, air con machine broke, told to phone near end of the week as it should be fixed by then... typical!

Done the diy top up on a few cars now, quick and easy to do, simple to check pressure beforehand, also worth buying some cheapo digi scales to you can weigh what you put it.

Hopefully I won't jinx mine. But mine is 11 years old, air con has never been touched and it would still freeze the off a brass monkey.
